"Sides, An Evening of Duets", 2006

Undressing the balance of intimate relationships in a series of passionate duets, by engaging pairs of lovers, fighters, and strangers. Woven together, each piece of choreography highlights explosive flips and leaps, which give way to tender shared moments unique to each pair. The dancers infuse the pieces with a visceral energy that truly affects the emotions of the viewers. While using props of taut fabric, a pair of shoes, clothing and spoken words, "SIDES" proceeds to undress the balance of relationships.

"Between the lines, caught in the words", 2006

"Between the Lines, Caught in the Words", was inspired by the everyday fascination with news paper, a main source of propaganda, the effect it has on a person... the over load of information, the pieces of the paper that one carries with themselves through the day and how it shapes their life.

It is a satirical look at the No Child Left Behind mandate and how it affects arts in the public school system. Using spoken word and a movement vocabulary that is hibernation of P.E. and modern dance.

This piece is bold exploration in role of fashion, popular culture, and how images of beauty influence a woman's sense of self. 'Beauty" is inspired by The Beauty Myth written by Naomi Wolf.

In the lullaby filled with empty rocking and melting, abrasive war gestures frame emotions embedded in the flesh of two bodies who struggle to comfort and connect.
